North East Tasmania is naturally beautiful and Launceston is proudly home to the Cataract Gorge and the First Basin. Just a short walk from the CBD, Cataract Gorge and the First Basin is a magnificent natural landmark to discover. There are many small walks to do around the region, complete with a café and restaurant, barbeque facilities and a public swimming pool!
